Sneaker expert and burgeoning rapper Wale (pronounced Wa-leigh) represents his hometown (which happens to be my hometown), the Maryland suburbs around D.C.  Not to be confused with an environmentally-minded robot of similar moniker, Wale is an up and coming rapper (and sneaker enthusiast) grabbing the attention of some important people (let’s count ourselves among them, shall we?).

Lambasting Seinfeld over the “Kramer” incident (that of comedian Michael Richards) with his recent “The Mixtape About Nothing,” Wale has proven his comedic and artistic talents in the D.C. industry.  He’s toured with Clipse (I saw him give a good performance in Greensboro) and has good original material as well.  Check out this video, a freestyle over the irresistible Justice song “D.A.N.C.E.”
